🔍 How do I search for a specific book in the library catalog?

Use the library catalog search bar at the top of the homepage. You can search by title, author, ISBN, or keyword. Use "Advanced Search" for more refined results, including filtering by subject, year, language, or format (print/digital).

📚 How many books can I borrow at once?

Students can borrow up to 5 books for 14 days, with one renewal allowed if no reservation exists. Faculty members can borrow up to 10 books for 30 days. Graduate students have special extended borrowing privileges — check with your librarian for details.

📝 How do I cite sources in APA / MLA format?

The library provides citation guides for APA, MLA, Chicago, and Harvard styles. You can also use tools like Zotero or Mendeley (free software) to manage references automatically. Our librarians can assist you with workshops and one-on-one sessions on citation management.

🌐 How do I access online databases from home?

Use your university login credentials to access databases via the library website. We subscribe to JSTOR, Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and more. If you face access issues, contact the library's IT support or ask a librarian for the VPN setup guide.

🔄 Can I renew or reserve a book online?

Yes! Log in to "My Account" on the library portal to renew borrowed items or place reservations on checked-out books. You'll receive an email notification when the item is available. Items can also be renewed by contacting the library directly.

📰 How do I request a journal article not in the library collection?

Submit an Article Request through the library services page. Our librarians will obtain the article via Interlibrary Loan (ILL) from partner institutions. Processing typically takes 3–5 business days and the article will be sent to your email.
